stephan repkow

Founder & CEO

Stephan has over thirty years of experience in the banking sector, in the fields of capital markets, asset management and private banking, and has been working in Singapore and Hong Kong since 1999.
 

Before founding WMA, Stephan was the Asia CEO of UBP Private Banking (SG & HK) until June 2015, and held a number of high-profile positions at Swiss-Asia (CIO and managing partner, SG & HK), Deutsche Asset Management (MD-Regional head of Sales, SG & HK), Citigroup Private Bank (MD, HK & SG) and BNP Paribas (Head of Treasury APAC and Fixed Income, SG).
 

Stephan, a French-born Singaporean citizen, holds a Master in Economy & Finance from Sciences Po, Paris and a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the Université de Paris-Dauphine, Paris.

INVESTMENT TEAM

The WMA investment team is what our families and clients plug into for advice on their portfolios, specific investments, and in dealing with external business partners such as custodians, banks, brokers, fund managers and trustees.

Kenny chong

Head of Investment Services

Kenny has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector in both buy- and sell-side firms.

Prior to joining WMA, Kenny was a Portfolio Manager at Marathon Asset Management, managing their Asian Credit portfolio.

Kenny started his career in 1992 at JP Morgan trading in fixed income, foreign exchange, interest rates and equity derivatives. He moved to Credit Suisse in 2000 to head up Asian Credit Trading, and later set up DBS's Asia High Yield Trading business from 2009 to 2012.

Kenny, a Singaporean citizen, holds Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Adelaide.

COLIN LOW

Head of Investment Research

Colin has been in the banking and finance industry since 2013.


Immediately before joining WMA, Colin completed a full-time MBA with the National University of Singapore, specializing in finance. Colin completed part of his programme at New York University's Stern School of Business, interned with Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management, and was a finalist in an equity analysis competition organized by Yale University.
 

Colin, a Singaporean citizen, holds a Master of Business Administration and a B.Soc.Sci (Honours) in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.

MARCUS YEE

Investment Analyst

Marcus graduated in 2021 with First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore.

Before starting his career at WMA, Marcus had a variety of internship experiences with financial institutions. These included stints at Fullerton Fund Management's Equity Research team, ABN AMRO's Risk Management team, and LBBW's Corporate Banking team.

Marcus, a Singaporean citizen, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) specializing in Finance from the National University of Singapore.

Raymond quan

Senior Investment Advisor

Raymond has over 20 years of experience in cross-assets sales in Asia. Prior to joining WMA, Raymond was Head of Financial Institutional Sales at MUFG and ANZ.

 

Raymond started his banking career with BNP Paribas in 1996, covering Private Banking Relationship Managers & their UHNW clients, Corporates, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Financial Institutions and Proprietary Traders. Later, Raymond joined Barclays Capital to set up a new Private Bank sales business unit.

 

Raymond is a Singaporean Citizen, and holds a Bachelor in Banking and Finance from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia.

nirmala gopalakrishnan

Chief Administration Officer

Mala has over 30 years of working experience in the Private and Corporate Banking industry in Singapore, responsible for operations, finance, human resources and compliance activities.

Before joining WMA as founding CAO, Mala worked at UBP as assistant to the Asia CEO, heading Human Resources and Office Management functions. Before that, Mala was in charge of Southeast Asia Processing and Operations in BNP Paribas and supervising private banking operations at Bankers Trust. 

Mala, a Singaporean citizen, is a certified Human Resources Manager with the International Academy of Business and Financial Management, and read Compliance and Banking Risks at IBF and ABS.

OUR ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM

WMA's administrative team keeps the show going day and night, helping to manage our dealings with a wide array of service providers to ensure that the investment team has what it needs to make the right decisions, and that clients are kept fully in the loop in all that we do.

IRIANA IQBAL

Client Services & Administration

Iriana joined WMA as Client Services & Administration, after more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry.


Iriana, a Singaporean national, started her career in finance with POSB then OCBC prior joining Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi where she held various roles in Accounting Department.


Iriana then joined Clariden Leu in Marketing & Communication prior to joining UBP in 2012.

LESLIE GOH

Managing Partner

Leslie has been managing client money since 1995, working initially in active fund management firms before moving across to the private banking world in 2006.

Prior to joining WMA as Managing Partner, Leslie was the Asian head of Equity Advisory & Execution at Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management.
 

Leslie, a Singaporean citizen, started his career at DBS Asset Management focused on Singapore and Malaysian equity investments, and later worked at HSBC Asset Management and Lloyd George Management. In 2006, he joined Citi Private Bank and HSBC Private Bank. Leslie studied at University College London.

Mok weng sun

Managing Partner

Weng joined the financial sector in 1997 and has 19 years of experience in private equity investing across Asia-Pacific.


Prior to joining WMA, Weng was Partner and Head of South East Asia at Affinity Equity Partners. Prior to the establishment of Affinity as an independent fund manager in 2004, he was a Partner at UBS Capital, the proprietary private equity arm of UBS AG, and a member of the team that spun the business out of UBS to form Affinity. From 1991 to 1997, Weng worked in the industrial sector for a family-owned engineering group.
 

Weng, a Malaysian citizen, holds a MBA in Finance and a BSc in Industrial & Management Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, USA.

Roby lasmana

Managing Partner

Roby has over 20 years of experience in General Management of financial and industrial companies in Indonesia.


Prior to joining WMA, Roby worked at his family-owned group of companies. Roby worked in the credit and banking arm of the Family business, advising the firm on strategic development and supervising its senior management and finance functions. Since 2000, Roby was CFO and Director of the family's textiles business.


Roby, an Indonesian citizen, holds a Master in Business Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Management Science from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, USA.

FRANCOIS SCHWENNICKE

Managing Partner

François has over 25 years of experience in General Management of luxury retail and F&B companies in Belgium and Vietnam.


From 1994 to 2011, François was the CEO of the Delvaux Group (est. 1829), a Belgian luxury goods manufacturer. François has also started restaurants and catering companies in Brussels, and more recently a craft brewery and brasserie in Ho Chi Minh City when he relocated to Vietnam in 2011 to open a leather goods factory for high-end European and US brands.


François, a Belgian citizen, is an active YPO member in Vietnam (and founder of the Belgium chapter in 1990), and holds a Bachelor in Applied Economic Sciences from the University of Louvain, Belgium.

Richard Wee

Advisory Board Member

Richard, a Singaporean citizen, holds a degree in Economics as well as a Law degree. He was called to the English Bar in 1991 and to the Singapore Bar in 1993.

 

After practicing law in Singapore for several years, Richard became an entrepreneur and started businesses in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

 

His interests are varied as reflected in the different sectors his companies operate in. These businesses include Retail, Medical, Leisure, Property Development and Finance. He is currently still active and sits on the Boards of several companies in the region.

hugues delcourt

Advisory Board Member

Hugues is currently a senior advisor and operating partner for a limited number of families and a large international private equity firm. He was chairman of the Management Board and Group CEO of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) from 2014 to 2019. Hugues, French by origin and now Luxembourgish, garnered his 30-year banking experience (of which 17 have been in Asia) in senior leadership positions with ABN AMRO, UBS and Crédit Agricole Indosuez. Before taking over BIL's leadership, he was CEO of ABN AMRO Private Banking in Asia & Middle East as well as Country Manager for Singapore.

Hugues, a Luxembourgish citizen, holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD and is also a graduate of HEC Paris (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales).

Quah ban huat

Advisory Board Member

Quah has over 30 years of experience in banking, finance and advisory. He is currently a Principal Advisor at KPMG Corporate Finance and a director on a number of listed and private companies. 

Prior to this, Quah was a director on the board of several listed companies and held various key finance positions at Deutsche Bank, the IMC Group, City Gas Pte. Ltd and Rickmers Maritime.

Quah, a Malaysian citizen and Singapore PR, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in United Kingdom.
